Satay Celup at Capitol, Malacca

Capitol is believed to have pioneered the satay celup concept in Malacca. It is the best of all due to the thick, aromatic soup base (or sauce?). The success of their business lies in the secret recipe of the sauce which was perfected by the owner, the third generation food operator.

Weekends often see patrons flocking in from 5.00 p.m. onwards.

There are plentiful of skewered seafood, vegetables, meats and innards.

Prices start from 80 sen a stick

  1. Though I personally prefer Ban Lee Siang's version. Anyway, not much of a fan of satay celup anyway, kinda awkward dunking the items into the boiling cauldron of satay sauce.

Actually, we ate satay celup for the fun of it. Tastewise, steamboat is much better than satay celup.
