Japan - Day 11 (Part 2): Kyoto Food Trail 3

Our tour in Kyoto ended at Nijo-jo. We were both starving after walking for such a long distance from the Kyoto Imperial Palace to Nijo-jo. I wanted to have something hot, piping hot. The first thing that came into our minds was noodles. We later found this ramen restaurant near Nijo-jo.

Takoyaki (たこ焼き) is a popular Japanese dumpling made of batter, diced or whole baby octopus, tempura scraps (tenkasu), pickled ginger, and green onion, topped with okonomiyaki sauce, ponzu, mayonnaise, green laver (aonori), and katsuobushi (fish shavings).

  3. Oh, I missed eating the ramen.. mine was like the cintan type of mee with one thin slice of pork and one egg.... something like yours but minus the chilli :)

    I miss tonkutsu ramen too. How nice if I could eat it again? Pretty sure the taste in Malaysia won't be the same.
