Handcrafted Specialty Coffee and Syphon Coffee @ Full of Beans

Have you ever heard of syphon coffee making? If you have come across the term, I am sure the following names such as vacpots, vacuum brewed coffee, syphon brewer, syphon vacuum coffee etc. are not strange to you.

What is syphon coffee making? What is the difference between brewing a cup of coffee in a coffee maker and taking complicated steps in making your cuppa? The answer is: YOU and your willingness in involving yourself in the process of creating something for your own pleasure and enjoyment.

The brew is simply the best! No other brewer I have can give the same purity of flavour. Even the procedures involved are so artistic and beautiful. Watching the brew gurgle and the first strain of coffee fluid flow into the cup make me an ultimate coffee connoisseur.

To make a cup of perfect brew, you need to grind the coffee first. Then, add the ground coffee to the top vessel and add water to the bottom of the round-bottom flask. Heat the flask with a burner. Insert the top vessel into the opening of the flask together with its attached syphon. As the water starts moving up the top vessel, give a few stirs to fully saturate the grounds. Allow some steam or vapour bubbles to pass through the brewing coffee. Remove the flask from the flame. Draw air though the grounds to release the built up vacuum and the coffee fluid will move back to the flask. Last but not least, remove the top vessel and pour the content into a coffee cup. Now, enjoy the most beautifully made coffee brew with your favourite petit fours.

Select your preference, between sitting comfortably on a couch or watching your coffee brew before your eyes.

Syphons of various sizes

Freshly ground coffee (My choice of beans: Mandheling)
Grown in Sumatra, Mandheling has a smooth, full bodied flavour  and rich, complex taste. It is often described as earthy and intense with an herbal aroma with just the right amount of  acidity to provide a vibrancy.

An artistic person showing off his skills in producing the finest brew.

This Mandheling bean has a good aftertaste, slightly earthy and delightful aroma.
Certainly a must try coffee!
