Homemade Dessert #5: Mango Yogurt Muffin

This yogurt muffin adopts the all-in method in the mixing of the ingredients. Simply whip up some sugar, butter, self-raising flour, milk, mango yogurt and some dried mango (optional), the outcome is extremely soft and fluffy muffin which is so light in weight and big on taste. 

Ho's Birthday Tea

Ho celebrated her 41st birthday last Tuesday. As her birthday fell on a weekday, it was unlikely that she would celebrate it at home with her parents. Being the 'closest' person to her (sitting beside her in the common room), I tried by all means cheering her up on her big day and took her to Starbucks for a mini celebration. I even invited two favourite colleagues of hers to come along but only one had managed to make it while the other was feeling unwell on the same day.

Kenny Rogers Roasters's Red Day

11 January 2011 was the annual Roasters Eating Day (RED) of Kenny Rogers Roasters. Those wearing red on that day at Kenny Rogers Roasters Restaurant were entitled for a free Kenny's Quarter Meal when they purchased 1 Kenny Quarter's Meal. Isn't it great? That was exactly what I thought when I saw the ad so I invited a colleague to join me for lunch at KRR. We later found out that we were only allowed to choose the sauce and muffin flavour while the 3 side dishes were fixed by the restaurant.

Chicken drumstick and thigh in original sauce and served along with 3 side dishes (mashed potato, coleslaw and baked beans)

The free quarter meal we got was chicken wing and breast smoked barbecue sauce, served along with the same side dishes.

Each set comes with a free muffin. There are 4 flavours to choose from so we opted for the less sweet flavours: orange flavour and original flavour.
