Our Delicious Afternoon

At the crowded Mid Valley Megamall, we could either go to a restaurant or a cafe and it would likely be the same dining experience. We might very well have chosen Delicious Café because we were walking towards Gardens and turned right upon seeing the minimalistic name of Delicious Cafe. This place was probably packed at lunch time and al fresco seating was equally hard to come by. We settled for an inside table, by an elegant glass case holding beautiful cakes and mouth-watering pastries.

From where we sat, we had a front row view of the vast selection of desserts seducing us with an overstated sense of indulgence and a strong feeling of guilt for having or not having it.

A wide array of cakes and desserts in the display case

We began with Turkey Ham & Cheese Toastie that came appetizing and excellent in taste. We don’t know how the cheese melts its way between the oven hot toast and ham but this way seemed as good, if not better, to lock in the taste.

We shared two types of spaghettini, the Traditional Tomato Spaghettini and the most down-to-earth Aglio Olio Spaghettini. This has got to be one of the more authentic pasta we have had in KL.

The dessert always receives the most attention from all of us. We were seen gulping down the main course just to speed up the delivery of the Banoffee Pie, which was intolerably sweet. We kept pushing it to the others, but ended up leaving a huge chunk of toffee and banana behind.
