HK/Macau 2011 - Ngong Ping 360 & Tai O Village

It was my second trip to Ngong Ping 360 on Lantau Island. Riding cable car has always been my all-time favourite so I do not mind returning to the same attraction again. I could vaguely remember this place during my first visit as I was ushered from one place to another throughout the journey. Spending merely an hour or two at the Ngong Ping village was inadequate as the breathtaking view of the replica village keeps holding you back with its ever charming beauty. Taking a five-minute walk from the village to the Po Lin Monastery is another life worth personal experience when you bring yourself closer to the gigantic Buddha statue at the monastery.

Walking up the 18 flights of step to the Gigantic Buddha statue was never an easy task for me. Gasping for air, I had to made numerous stops along the way before reaching my ultimate destination. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by the cool breeze which worked its way magically in getting rid of the exhaustion I gathered from all the 'hard' work. I wasted no time and proceeded to Tai O fishing village located approximately 20 minutes from the Po Lin Monastery. Spent a relaxing afternoon at the fishing village, I indulged into an authentic village cuisine in Tai O before bidding farewell to Lantau Island.
