Chicken and Leek Pie at Soho Country House

I spotted this restaurant in Auto-City a couple of weeks ago. I kind of like the Tudor style building and the fountain in front of the restaurant. When I scanned through the menu, I was so pleased to see a section on English styled pies. Haha... I know what to order now...

Take a look at Soho Specials. I was attracted by the second item - Chicken & Leek Pie.

Not worth paying RM5.00 for a cup of horribly tasteless coffee.

The Chicken and Leek Pie @ RM 15.50
A flavourful creamy chicken filling is found underneath the pastry lid when you unveil it.

The puff pastry is baked till golden brown so it has a very crispy texture.

The pie is served with a generous amount of green peas and a jacket potato sprinkled with finely chopped basil leaves.

Steam rushing out from the juicy filling when the pastry lid was peeled a little.
The overall taste of the food is not as charming as the design of the restaurant. To be fair, the pie is loaded with huge chunks of chicken meat (either the thigh or drumstick) and the taste of the succulent filling is very flavourful and palatable.

  1. I have never been auto city before even though passed by from the highway numerous times...so the pie is much better than the tasteless coffee? :)
