English Cream Tea at Annabelle's Place

A cream tea is tea taken with a combination of scones, clotted cream and jam. Cream teas are offered for sale in tea rooms throughout Great Britain and rest of the Commonwealth, or wherever someone wants to give an impression of British influence, just like this cosy dining place in Tanjung Bungah.

Miss Annabelle likes to travel around the Continental Europe and the above are all her collections she gathered from various countries.

I fell in love with this place the moment I stepped into the cafe.

I would very much like to go with tradition but drinking tea often gives me a nauseatic feeling that would normally last for days so I required the tea to be substituted with a cup of cappuccino.

Biscotti

How a cream tea should preferably be eaten? The Devonshire method is to split the scone in two, cover each half with clotted cream, and then add strawberry jam on top. Traditionally it is important that the scones be warm. Over here in Annabelle's Place, your scones are ideally freshly baked and always appear light and  fluffy when they are delivered to you. Clotted cream and strawberry jam are inseparable from the scones as they are a perfect match made in heaven. The warm scone should first be spread with strawberry jam, and finally topped with a spoonful of clotted cream.

I spent 4 hours in the cafe as the music was so enchanting and I couldn't help but fall in love again with the cafe.

  2. Haha... nowadays youngsters hardly use words derived from Malay words like Pan Nai and Sum Muah.. However, I have started using them since I was little. Oops... did I reveal my age?
